National Cooking Competition Held

| Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- A national cooking competition was held at the Changgwangsan Hotel with the approach of the Day of the Shining Star (February 16), the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il. The competition was attended by some 100 cooks selected from across the country. They competed in cooking seafood stew and cold vegetable dish mixed with steamed chickens and making vegetable decorations for dishes. The cooks from the Ryusong Guidance Bureau, restaurants in Pyongyang and Kangwon Province, Chongryu Restaurant and Taesong Department Store Restaurant won prizes at the competition. The competition served as a good occasion in improving cooking in the country. |
