Stadiums, Gyms Facelifted in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Stadiums and gymnasiums have been renovated in the DPRK.

The football pitch of Kim Il Sung Stadium was newly covered with synthetic grass and its electronic scoreboard, lounge and press conference room were renewed.

Yanggakdo Football Stadium has improved its running track, while Sosan Football Stadium has undergone a facelifting.

Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and the Ice Rink on the banks of the Pothong River and gymnasiums in Chongchun Street have been modernized.

Training facilities have been reinforced in various sports teams and sports schools.

The Amnokgang Sports Team has built a physical training center and the Taesongsan Sports Team has completed the construction of a gymnasium and outdoor training ground.

The Pothonggang District Juvenile Sports School has constructed table-tennis and boxing training facilities and a gymnasium.

The Kangdong County Juvenile Sports School has completed the frame project of a gymnasium equipped with a swimming pool.
