The Bangladeshi paper Blits on February 1 carried the portrait of a smiling Kim Jong Il and praised him as a great thinker and theoretician, benevolent father of the people and peerless Songun brilliant commander possessed of extraordinary strategy and matchless pluck and courage.

He comprehensively developed in depth the Juche idea and Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and firmly defended socialism by pursuing Songun politics, it noted.

The Indonesian paper Suara Karya on February 8 said it was the goal and wishes of Kim Jong Il to build a thriving socialist nation where the people are well-off with nothing to envy in the world.

The Nigerian paper Nigerian Observer said Kim Jong Il already fully displayed his wisdom and stratagem and courage as a brilliant commander since he started his Songun revolutionary leadership by inspecting Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army.

He defended the destiny of the motherland, people and socialism and ensured the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world later last century by holding aloft the banner of Songun, it added.
