Pakistani President Clarifies Stand to Promote Gas Pipeline Project with Iran

| Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari recently clarified the stand of the government to promote to the last a pipeline project for natural gas to be imported from Iran, dismissing the U.S. pressure. The U.S. is persistently opposed to this project, claming that it would bring benefit to Iran, but Pakistan will buckle down to it to meet its energy requirements, he said. |
