Vegetable decorations for dishes drew the attention of the attendants.

Cooks from the General Bureau of Public Service and other public catering establishments presented vegetable decorations of different shapes and colors and unique themes.

The vegetable decoration themed "Dolphins on Rungna Islet" shows the dolphin aquarium now being erected as another edifice in the Songun (military-first) era, two dolphins performing dexterous feats, a seagull skittering over waves and scenery of the River Taedong.

"Home of Happiness" portraying peacocks in a garden was also highly appreciated in the competition.

"Treasure in the East Sea of Korea", "Rich Potato Harvest in Taehongdan" and "Golden Mountain in Autumn" give a vivid representation of natural scenery and animals.

Materials used in the decorations were pumpkin, radish, cucumber and other vegetables and fruits.
