A meeting of officials of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan for laying Kimjongilia, the flower of sun, before the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il took place at the Press Hall of Korea on Feb. 1.

A seminar under the title "General Kim Jong Il, Sun of 21st Century" was held at the hall of Joson University on Feb. 8.

The participants in the seminar heard the 15 papers including "The great General Kim Jong Il's plan for building a prosperous country is a succession to that of President Kim Il Sung" and "The great General Kim Jong Il performed leadership feats by formulating the Songun politics as basic political mode under socialism and firmly defending it".

A meeting of the members of the Kumgang-san Opera Troupe to vow to implement the instructions of Kim Jong Il took place on Jan. 30.

Meanwhile, football championship and relay race of Korean students in Japan for commemorating the Day of the Shining Star were held with splendor.
