Japan-resident Korean Artistes Perform in Pyongyang to Mark Feb. 16
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- The art troupe of Koreans in Japan gave a music and dance performance at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre on Feb. 13 and 14 to commemorate the Day of the Shining Star (February 16), birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

The art troupe is very friendly to the people of the DPRK as their performing activities in homeland are an annual event.

This year the performance included items reflecting yearning, reverence and loyalty for the late Kim Jong Il.

First item narration and dance "I Want to Come to Homeland" portrayed the Koreans in Japan longing for Kim Jong Il, who showed deep loving care for them during his lifetime. The artistes and audience all shed tears during the performance of a song about Japan-resident Koreans' minds going out to him, who opened a bright future for the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

In numbers like male solo "Oh, Dear General Kim Jong Il", mixed quartet "Charm and Respect", female solo "Thinking of Father", the artistes eulogized the greatness of Kim Jong Il, man of unreserved and popular personality, with deep and rich voice and refined rendition.

Some numbers represented the faith and will of Koreans in Japan to devote their all to the development of the association with the spirit of the Korean nation enshrined in their minds.

The performance reflected the pledge of the Koreans in Japan to remain patriotic under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, always cherishing the warm loving care bestowed on them by Kim Jong Il.
