Among the spectators were Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae and officials concerned and working people in the city.

Present there on invitation were a delegation of Koreans in Japan for commemorating the Day of the Shining Star headed by Pae Ik Ju, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, and other delegations of overseas compatriots and compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front and foreign guests.

The performance began with prologue "Attraction and Reverence" while the venue of the event was pervaded with unbounded reverence for Kim Jong Il.

The event included such colorful numbers as group synchronized swimming "General Is Son of Guerrillas", quintet synchronized swimming "He Will Come for Sure", single girl synchronized swimming "Thinking of Love" and "Happiness of Being under His Loving Care".

The performers represented their ardent yearning for the leader who made dedication and tireless efforts day and night for the country's prosperity and its people's happiness through graceful rhythms and a variety of changing formations, splash, quick rise, etc.

Their presentation was acclaimed by the spectators for a good combination of swimming, gymnastics and dances.
