Great man Kim Jong Il indicated the way for the nation in shaping its destiny and the way ahead of human cause of independence with his unique and extraordinary ideas and theories. He also performed great exploits in the human history of thinking.

He glorified the Juche idea, the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung, as the guiding idea of the era of independence.

In order to prove the absolute truth of the President's revolutionary idea, he analyzed the 100-year history of thinking of the working class.

He formulated the President's idea as an integrated Juche system of idea, theory and method and set forth the programme on modeling the whole society on the Juche idea in the 1970s.

He authored famous work "On the Juche Idea", the library of the Juche idea, in March Juche 71 (1982).

He extensively wrote about the Juche idea typically "On Some Problems of Education in the Juche Idea", "On Having a Correct Viewpoint and Understanding of the Juche Philosophy", thereby enriching the revolutionary idea of the President and the socialist theory of Juche.

When socialism collapsed in some countries late last century, he made public works "On Some Problems of the Ideological Foundation of Socialism", "The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party" and "Socialism Is a Science", expounding problems in defending and developing Korean-style socialism.

He formulated the idea and line of the President on giving priority to the arms and military affairs as the Songun (military-first) idea and systemized them as the guidelines of the times.

He laid down the Songun revolutionary principle that the army precisely means the Party, state and people, guided by the philosophy that the revolution starts, advances and is completed by dint of the arms.

The principle of the Songun revolution and unique theory of Songun politics serve as the guidelines of the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolution and a treasured sword in realizing the popular masses' cause of independence in the present times.

His works gave clear answers to all problems encompassing politics, military affairs, economy and culture as well as national reunification.
