Gazans Call on Israel to Free Islamic Jihad Leader from Jail

| Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- Thousands of Palestinians demonstrated on Friday in Gaza city and called on Israel to immediately release an Islamic Jihad (Holy War) leader who has been on a hunger strike for two months. The demonstrators took to the city's main street, waving Palestinian and Islamic Jihad flags. Ismail Haneya, premier of Hamas de facto government, who joined the rally, told reporters that "we all are united behind one of the prisoners' symbols who goes on a hunger strike to condemn the repressive Israeli measures." |
