The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued the February special issue of its bulletin under the title "Glory to the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il on his 70th birth anniversary". The bulletin carried articles illustrated with a photo of him waving back to cheering people.

In an article titled "The great leader of Songun revolution" the bulletin referred in detail to the facts that he developed the Juche idea and the Songun idea, providing a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon to the progressive mankind, and put the dignity and national power of socialist Korea on the highest level with his Songun politics.

An article titled "HE Kim Jong Il, guardian of peace" stressed that peace has been ensured on the Korean Peninsula thanks to his Songun revolutionary leadership.

The Finland-Korea Society on Feb. 13 carried its bulletin "Friends of DPRK" No. 1. The bulletin carried articles titled "Kimjongilia," "DPRK steadily advancing under leadership of HE Kim Jong Un," etc. illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Il inspecting the Kaeson Youth Park Funfair and a photo of the dear respected Kim Jong Un inspecting the construction site of the Pyongyang Folk Park.
