Rodong Sinmun Praises Kim Jong Il's Exploits

Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- General secretary Kim Jong Il was the greatest leader in the present era as he performed undying exploits, glorifying his life for decades like the red flag after shouldering upon himself the destiny of socialism in the complicated and difficult period. Rodong Sinmun Thursday says this in a bylined article. The article goes on: Kim Jong Il clarified the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and inevitability of its victory through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, encouraging the world progressive people and strongly reacting against the anti-socialist moves of the imperialists. He contributed the discourse "Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable" to Kulloja, official magazine of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee, on March 1, Juche 82 (1993). In the discourse he said the claim that socialism is "totalitarian", "barracks-like" and "administrative and commanding" is nothing but a fabrication and sophism of the imperialists. His treatise "Socialism Is a Science" published on November 1, 1994 serves as a famous work as it saved the world socialist movement from the chaotic crisis and provided an ideological, theoretical and practical guarantee for its victorious advance. He comprehensively established the Songun politics, providing an invincible weapon for defending the cause of socialism and victoriously advancing it. He pursued the Songun politics with the Korean People's Army as its mainstay, frustrating the imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK and defending socialism and the destiny of the country and nation during the hardest period -- the Arduous March, forced march -- and thereby paving the road of building a thriving socialist nation. The anti-imperialist independent countries and those countries desirous of socialism are now attaching importance to military affairs and frustrating the imperialists' moves to isolate, stifle and encircle them, regarding their armies as mainstays, inspired by Kim Jong Il's Songun politics. |
