The film deals with the life of a serviceman's family and tells about the family's wishes.

The wife of an officer, heroine of the film, wishes to have a family photo taken with her husband who is taking part in the construction of the Huichon Power Station.

At last, her husband comes home from the construction site under an order to have a rest and, consequently, fails to have a picture taken with leader Kim Jong Il who visited the construction site. His wife feels very sorry for this failure.

Later, the heroine takes part in the contest among servicemen's wives art groups and has the honor of posing for a picture with the leader.

Kim Jong Il visited the construction site again and provided a photo session for the heroine's husband and other servicemen who failed to pose for souvenir picture with him during his previous visit.

After all, the wishes of a serviceman's family to have a photo taken with Kim Jong Il as their eternal family photo were realized.

The people in the DPRK have held President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem as not only their great leaders but also father of the whole country. They regarded it as their highest honor and glory to have pictures taken with Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, peerlessly great persons.

In actuality many families in the DPRK have such pictures and hold them much more valuable than their family photos.

Kim Song Mi (30), a citizen residing in Pyongyang, said: "My family has a souvenir picture my parents posed for with leader Kim Jong Il. This is an heirloom of my family and it is the eternal family photo."

Paek Ryon Hui, heroine in the film, successfully performed monodrama "Wishes" at the fourth round of the 2nd-term contest among servicemen's wives art groups of the Korean People's Army and had the honor to be received by Kim Jong Il and have a photo session with him.
