Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Ui Chun, foreign minister, Hyon Sang Ju, chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and others.

The ambassador said in his speech at the reception that Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to the struggle for progressive mankind.

He expressed belief that the Korean people would bring about fresh miracles and innovations in socialist construction under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Kim Yong Il in his speech said it is a manifestation of their reverence for Kim Jong Il that Palestinian friends were joining the Korean people in significantly commemorating the Day of the Shining Star.

The Korean people will support the just cause of the Palestinian people to retake the legitimate national rights including the right to self-determination, the right to return home and the right to found a sovereign state, he added.
