Carved on the red marble plaque on a pedestal are letters bearing "Kim Jong Il Class, February 16, 2012".

The principal of the school told the ceremony that Kim Jong Il wisely led the party, army and people of the DPRK, performing undying feats on behalf of the country and its people, the times and history.

The Korean and other progressive people are praising Kim Jong Il as an outstanding thinker and theoretician, peerlessly political elder, Songun brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu, peerless patriot and benevolent father of the people, the principal said.

An art performance was given by pupils of the school at the ceremony.
