Title of Hero Awarded to Miner

| Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The title of DPRK Hero was awarded to Pak Thae Son, former miner of Kumgol Mine of the Komdok Mining Complex. He was also honored with a gold star medal and Order of National Flag First Class. Every year he overfilled his economic plan, determined to make a contribution to the building of a thriving nation with increased mineral production true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea. He devoted his life to saving his colleague when there was an accident in a pit. A decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly on the conferment was issued on Feb. 18. |
