Vietnamese Paper Introduces Spirit of Chollima in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The Vietnamese paper Dhan Dan on Feb. 16 carried an article titled "Great achievements made in DPRK for decades, Korean people are working hard to build a thriving nation in the spirit of Chollima in a bid to implement President Kim Il Sung's behests" under the bannerline caption "Spirit of Chollima in DPRK" illustrated with a photo of the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill.

The President initiated the Chollima movement and the DPRK carried out the historic task for socialist industrialization in a matter of 14 years under his wise leadership, the paper said, and went on:

An exceptionally fast speed was created in the DPRK during the Chollima movement.

The builders of Pyongyang City constructed 20 000 flats in one year of 1958 by assembling one flat in 14 minutes. The speed of Pyongyang was thus created.

In the DPRK the speed of the 70-day campaign was created in the 1970s and the speed of the 80s in the 1980s. In the 1990s the DPRK launched satellite Kwangmyongsong-1, kicking off the drive for building a thriving socialist nation.

The speed of Huichon was created in the DPRK in recent years.

The Korean people advanced at new Chollima speed in hearty response to the Party's call for opening the gate to prosperity. In this course a lot of factories have been updated and latest equipment manufactured.

Going round the construction site of the gasification process of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex in March 2011, leader Kim Jong Il praised this as the new Chollima speed, the speed of the DPRK.

The Korean people are now pushing forward the building of a thriving socialist nation at the new Chollima speed.
