Kim Jong Il performed undying feats in efforts to achieve the reunification of the country and bring about a decisive phase in ensuring peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia, true to President Kim Il Sung's cause of national reunification, he said, and went on:

One of the greatest feats performed by Kim Jong Il among the feats performed for national reunification was that he ushered in the June 15 era of reunification by making sure that the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was adopted.

He provided a guarantee for preventing the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula and ensuring peace and security in Northeast Asia on the basis of the strong national power built thanks to the Songun politics.

National reunification is the cherished desire of all the Koreans and the world peace-loving people and an urgent historic task which brooks no further delay.

I express firm support and solidarity for the Korean people in their struggle to reunify the country, build a thriving nation and win a victory in the cause of socialism across the world under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
