The Japanese Women's Society for Solidarity with the Korean Women in a statement said that the U.S. and south Korea are going to stage large-scale joint military exercises Key Resolve and Foal Eagle, the statement said, and went on:

We bitterly condemn the military exercises as a dangerous saber-rattling reminiscent of OPLAN 5027 aimed at mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK.

The Korean people are now working hard to improve the standard of the people's living and achieve the peaceful reunification and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula after overcoming the sorrow over the loss of the father of the nation.

To stage the military exercises at such time cannot be construed otherwise than a challenge to the people the world over aspiring after peace and security on the Korean Peninsula as it is an act against ethics and the nation.

The Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association in a statement said that the joint military exercises clearly show who is the arch criminal disturbing peace and escalating tension on the peninsula.

The statement continued:

The DPRK, with tremendous military capability, will protect its sovereignty and the dignity of the nation from any provocation of the imperialists.

The progressives of Denmark denounce the joint military exercises driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme pitch of tension and demand their cancellation.
