Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- South Korean civic and social organizations on February 22 held a protest rally in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul slamming the brazen-faced moves of Japan to grab Tok islets, according to the south Korean CBS. An event marking ''Takeshima Day'' was held in Shimane Prefecture, Japan that day, bringing to light its ambition to usurp the islets. Infuriated by this, 14 civic and social organizations of south Korea including the Tok Islets Volunteer Corps held a press conference at which they blasted Japan for such aggressive behavior as insisting that the islets belong to it. The International Solidarity for Defending Tok Islets held a press conference on the same day at which it demanded the Japanese government stop marking such day and give up its ambition to grab Tok islets. On February 21 the Korea Tok Islets Green Movement denounced Japan's farce marking the day meant to raise a claim to the islets in Kangrung City of south Korean Kangwon Province and then took to the street, distributing literature which says Tok Islets are part of the inviolable territory of Korea. |
