Congratulations to President of Cote d'Ivoire

Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Monday sent a message to President of Cote d'Ivoire Alassane Ouattara to congratulate him on the successful conclusion of the 40th summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and his election as Chairman of ECOWAS.

Kim in the message praised the concerted efforts made by the member nations of ECOWAS to achieve the regional security and common development.

Reaffirming the DPRK government's stand to constantly develop the traditional friendly and cooperative relations with West African countries, Kim sincerely hoped that the ECOWAS would make greater success in its work by his positive efforts.
