Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: The issue of dispatching SDF to Hormuz Strait is a product of Japan's inveterate bad habit of toeing the U.S. policy.

It goes on:

As the U.S. is well aware of Japan's bad habit of toeing the U.S. policy and its ulterior aim to realize its ambition for overseas aggression with the U.S. backing, it strongly urged the latter to back the former in its sanctions against Iran and military pressure upon it.

It is just like a suicide, indeed, for Japan to get involved in the complicated nuclear issue of Iran as oil from Iran takes a big share of Japan's oil import.

This being a hard reality, Japan is keen to rush to Mideast where a war may break out any moment, assuming even hypothesis and sidestepping everything. This can be explained by the fact that what the Japanese politicians fear more than anything else is not "any harm to its national interests" but the fate of being forsaken by their master.

Japanese politicians are accustomed to always reading the face of its U.S. master when making policy decisions, big or small, putting aside the interests of Japan or will and wishes of its people.

It is quite natural that world people deride Japan as a servant of the U.S. and a political pigmy.

Japan should feel disgrace for this.
