The WikiLeaks recently revealed the facts that when Japanese Prime Minister Fukuda at a meeting with Lee in July 2008 proposed to mark Tok Islets as part of the territory of Japan in "new guidelines for teaching" social subjects to primary and middle schoolers of Japan, Lee asked Fukuda to "wait for a while as it was difficult that moment".

At that time Lee Myung Bak insisted he never made such controversial remarks, but his detailed remarks were opened to public by the then first secretary of the south Korean embassy in Tokyo with his words that he "felt something perfidious".

The issue of sovereignty over Tok Islets does not allow even a slight concession as it was an acute issue related to part of the inviolable territory of Korea that has been handed down through generations.

But, Lee's promise to hand over Tok Islets to Japan, watching for a chance after abandoning them, was known to the public, touching off the anger of all Koreans.

Since its seizure of power, his regime has pursued diplomacy of submission and sycophancy toward Japan, conniving at and encouraging the Japanese reactionaries in their moves to grab Tok Islets and instigated them to stage a comeback to Korea.

The regime has advocated "quiet diplomacy", describing south Korea-Japan relations "future-oriented relations of not asking about the past" and talking about "a new era of cooperation".

Whenever the Japanese reactionaries conducted brigandish acts as regards the islets, the regime has never properly taken issue with them, taking an ambiguous attitude. It claimed "south Korea should not get involved in a dispute" and "it should exercise restraint".

When the oceanologic institute in south Korea tried to set up a comprehensive oceanologic base for studying Tok Islets, the Lee regime forced it to delete the words "Tok Islets" from its full name as it might get on the nerves of Japan.

This humiliating pro-Japanese sycophancy and treachery are encouraging the Japanese reactionaries in their ambition to seize the islets.

Japan is becoming evermore arrogant in its bid to grab Tok Islets, part of the inviolable territory of Korea.

In recent years, Japan's claim to Tok Islets was openly recorded in the "white paper on defence", "diplomatic blue book" and other state documents and in documents distributed to foreign countries and even in introductory notes of textbooks for the younger generation.

When Japanese Foreign Minister Kenba uttered "he should say what he had in mind" as regards the dominium over Tok Islets shortly ago, Prime Minister Noda officially supported his remarks, saying "he clarified Japan's stand".

Japan remains unchanged in its ambition to seize islets no matter how much water may flow under the bridge and no matter who comes to power.

The Lee Myung Bak regime is kowtowing to Japan, the sworn enemy of the Korean nation, even offering land, while standing in confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north.

The Korean nation can never escape disasters nor can the south Korean people be free from misfortune as long as Lee and other traitors are allowed to stay in power.
