The U.S. imperialists and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors finally embarked upon the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises for aggression and this is an undisguised and blatant challenge to the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula, the statement said, and went on:

It is the unanimous will of Koreans in the north and the south and overseas not to pardon the U.S. imperialist aggressors and Lee group of traitors for driving the inter-Korean relations to the worst phase after trampling down the wishes of all the fellow countrymen for peace and reunification of the country.

The United Confederation of Koreans in Russia on the same day released a statement in which it demanded the south Korean authorities stop at once such act of treachery as doing harm to compatriots in league with outside forces.

The Federation of Young Koreans in China on Monday made public a similar statement denouncing the war drills.
