Thousands Stage Rallies against U.S. Resolution on Human Rights in Sri Lanka

| Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- Sri Lankans staged massive demonstrations across the country on Monday against a U.S. sponsored resolution against Sri Lanka scheduled to be presented at the 19th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva. Thousands of people took part in demonstrations. A massive demonstration was also held in the capital Colombo with several government ministers attending and speaking against the proposed resolution. They said that the protests would be continued until the alleged resolution against Sri Lanka to be defeated. |
