Rodong Sinmun Slams Japanese Reactionaries' Search of Chongryon Facilities

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Japan's public security authorities ransacked offices of the Korean Scientists and Technologists Association in Japan and the Korean Amateur Athletes Federation in Japan inside the Korean Publishing Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). They also searched a travel company providing convenience to the Koreans in Japan for their visits to the homeland and the Itabashi Branch of Tokyo Metropolis of Chongryon. Huge armed police were mobilized for the operations that were carried out amid terror-ridden atmosphere on February 28.

Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

As was the case with the past incidents, the latest crackdown was unlawful violation aimed to harm the dignity of the DPRK and disband Chongryon.

The Japanese reactionaries have cooked up conspiratorial cases to obliterate Chongryon ever since the organization came into existence. But never has there been such a childish and sordid case as the recent one.

This is a clear reminder of the Japanese right-wing reactionaries' enmity and fascist frenzy against the DPRK and Chongryon. Japan revealed in international eyes its nature as a rogue state and the world's worst human rights abuser where militarism revives and national chauvinism stalks.

The Japanese reactionaries' moves against the DPRK and Chongryon were committed in parallel with the U.S. and south Korean puppet group's confrontation campaign against the DPRK. Herein lies the gravity of the incident.

No matter how desperately the Japanese reactionaries may try, they can never bring down the DPRK and Chongryon, which make steady victorious progress under the banner of Songun.
