The statement denounced the U.S. and south Korean warmongers for launching the joint military drills against the north with more than 200 000 troops and many latest war hardware involved, defying domestic and foreign public condemnation and protest.

The Lee Myung Bak group claims that the military drills are to cope with "possible provocation" from someone and they are "annual exercises for defense", but this is no more than sophism, it said, adding:

The joint military drills clearly prove once again the sinister intention of the Lee group to ignite a war against the north at any cost in collusion with the U.S. and to do harm to the DPRK by force of arms.

The mourning period is not yet over in the DPRK but the warmongers kicked off the large-scale joint military drills. The Lee group is made up of hooligans bereft of elementary morality and conscience.

The group is seeking to find a way out of the crisis in the large-scale joint military drills and divert elsewhere public criticism with the elections approaching.

But no one will be taken in by it.

The statement urged the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces to stop at once the war moves against the DPRK, not going reckless.
