S. Korean Warmongers Accused of Leading Situation to Brink of War
|

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The joint military exercises that started on Feb. 27 are going on, revealing their aggressive nature with each passing day. Different kinds of drills under the simulated conditions of "wartime situation" are under way one after another. Timed to coincide with this, south Korean warmongers deployed all types of monitoring devices and war equipment in the forefront areas, talking about "possible provocations" to spy on the moves of the DPRK. They are thus watching for a chance to invade the north. Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a bylined article in this regard: The reckless saber-rattling of the south Korean warmongers is an extremely dangerous adventure to wreck peace on the Korean Peninsula and ignite a war against the DPRK. Hundreds of thousands of aggressor troops involved in the exercises are staging madcap exercises for mounting a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK on the ground and in the air and seas. Last year the U.S. and south Korean troops worked out a plan to mount the preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK with the armed forces involved in the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises once they see "an abnormal sign of the north Korean army moves" during the exercises. It is clear that they are now working on an adventurous scenario just as they did last year in the light of the ongoing joint saber-rattling. They confessed that the present war maneuvers are under way according to "actual scenario" and "are aimed at mounting a military attack on the north". This can be clearly explained by the fact that a few days later the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops and the south Korean puppet army are going to stage the largest-ever joint marine corps landing drill in 23 years in Phohang area of south Korea. Landing operation means attack. A war against the DPRK is about to start. The U.S. and south Korean warmongers' reckless actions have created such extreme tension on the Korean Peninsula that a war may break out any moment. |
