1,747,493 Young Koreans Volunteer for Military Service

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Following the announcement of the statement of a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army, a great number of the youth are volunteering for service in the People's Army with the resolution to safeguard their leader and hit back the offenders. According to consolidated data, 1,747,493 young people including students petitioned to be allowed to join or rejoin the Korean People's Army for 24 hours from noon of March 2 when the statement of the KPA Supreme Command was released. 268,068 and 212,720 young people including students signed petitions in South Phyongan Province and South Hamgyong Province each, calling for all-people revenge on south Korean human scum. All the officials of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League vowed to rush to the retaliatory war and become the first-line death-defying corps and human bullets and bombs in safeguarding the dear respected Kim Jong Un. The number of young workers, farmers and intellectuals who vowed to join the army totals 1,021 048 taking the country as a whole. They shouted "Let us cut to pieces the hysteric mad-dogs and lunatics" and "Let us make traitor Lee Myung Bak, Kim Kwan Jin, Jong Sung Jo and all other human scum stand trial before the nation". After the announcement of the statement, hundreds of thousands of students of universities and colleges across the country held meetings volunteering to join the army and vowing to take revenge. Among them are tens of thousands of students of Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology. Written petitions read "We won't return before beating gang to death", "Blood for blood, club to mad-dog", "Let us extirpate in the name of the nation the three generations of family of Lee Myung Bak who doesn't know even about ethics and morality" and "I will be the first man of striking Lee Myung Bak to death". All the students of Ri Su Bok University of Chemical Engineering in Sunchon pledged to be today's Ri Su Bok. The number of volunteers from the secondary schools across the country including Changdok School, Hero Hyesan Secondary School No. 1 and Kim Ju Hyok Secondary School reached more than 535,600 and the ranks are increasing over time. 2,400 students in Kangwon Province who had exams for universities and colleges preferred military service to studying in classrooms. |
