U.S. Idea of Making "Pacific Century" for It Bound to Go Bust: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. dream of making "Pacific Century" for it is no more than a daydream as it is aimed to put the Asian countries under its control and dominate the Pacific, observes Rodong Sinmun in a by-lined article Sunday.

The above-said idea of the U.S. pursues a doctrine to enslave the peoples in the Asia-Pacific region and become an "emperor" in the region and a doctrine for world domination which calls for putting Asia under its control among other things in order to dominate the world, the article notes, and goes on:

This is the basic goal of the Asia strategy pushed forward by the U.S. imperialists at present as it comprehensively deals with the wild ambition to invade the region long harbored by the successive ruling quarters.

Just as the U.S. scenario to remain the "only superpower in the world" is facing a great difficulty, its idea of making "Pacific century" for it is bound to go awry. The article cites facts to prove this fact.

Growing strong in Asia are the revolutionary forces capable of frustrating the U.S. imperialists' policy of aggression and finally driving them out of the region, it says, and goes on:

The socialist forces are growing stronger as they did before and the people are getting more awakened in the protracted anti-imperialist struggle.

The U.S. imperialists tested all new strategies and tactics for cracking down upon the anti-U.S. resistance forces through the Iraqi War. All of them were, however, frustrated by the actions of the anti-U.S. resistance forces and people.

A particularly serious bottleneck before the U.S. imperialists in executing their policy of aggression against Asia is shortage of armed forces.

The U.S. forces are short of weapons and troops despite the fact that a huge amount of funds was spent for "war on terrorism."

Another difficulty for them is a long route for logistic supply.

The U.S. imperialists feel an acute shortage of supplies though most of their transport means in their country were used to meet the need for the transportation of supplies for just one front in the Mideast region.

It is beyond doubt in case they escalate the war of aggression into Asia, such difficulties will increase.

The contradictions and conflict among imperialists will fester, rendering the U.S. imperialists further isolated from their allies.
