"Sudan considers the ICC a political tool and not a judiciary entity that seeks to achieve what is for the interest of humanity," the agency quoted Sana Hamad, Sudan's State Minister for Information, as saying. "Since the issuance of the alleged indictment by (Luis Moreno) Ocampo last December against the minister of defense, the issuance of the arrest warrant was expected," she added.

She went on saying that Sudan was adherent to its previously declared stance, like all non-signatory countries to the ICC statute, which is that the ICC has no jurisdiction in Sudan and therefore Sudan is not concerned with its decisions.
