Prof. and Dr. Jo Hui Sung at the History Institute under the Academy of Social Sciences told KCNA:

"Traitor Lee Myung Bak tops the list of successive south Korean rulers in making confrontation against the DPRK. Lee and his lackeys Kim Kwan Jin and Jong Sung Jo had masterminded such campaigns as firing at the target featuring the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership and setting up slogans slandering the DPRK dignity and social system in frontline units of their army. History will settle accounts with them as traitors to the nation."

An officer of the Korean People's Army, Kim Chol Bong, said:

"The present situation urges us to destroy the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors by force of arms. If they are left intact, the entire Korean nation would suffer a big misfortune. There will be no shelter on the earth for them running amuck like a puppy knowing no fear of a tiger."
