Yun Tong Hyon, a general of the Korean People's Army, told KCNA:

"Upon hearing the news about the hideous provocation by the group of traitors, we, officers and men of the KPA three services, are anxiously waiting for an order while vowing vengeance, shouting with their towering anger 'Kill Myung Bak' and 'Knock military warmongers to death'.

Our-style sacred war based on physical attack will bring all acts of hurting the dignity of our supreme leadership to a definite end and, in the name of the nation, destroy traitor Lee Myung Bak, military warmongers and other culprits of south Korea."

Choe Jong Ryong, chairman of the South Hwanghae Provincial People's Committee, said:

"We, people of the DPRK, do not want war but never fear it.

All the officials and inhabitants in the province will always keep their full readiness for action, with a rifle in one hand and a hammer and sickle in the other. Once an order is given, they will turn out in the sacred war, together with the servicepersons, to reduce the enemies' headquarters into a sea of flames and achieve the national reunification without fail."

Kim Chung Gol, manager of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, said:

"Our workers will effect a great upsurge in steel production, with mind to throw Lee Myung Bak, Kim Kwan Jin and other traitors into a melting iron furnace."
