The statement of the spokesman for the Supreme Command of Korean People's Army was read out. It was followed by speeches made by the chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea and those on behalf of the KPA service members, Worker-Peasant Red Guards and youth and students.

The speakers said burning in the hearts of all the servicepersons and people is the fighting spirit to annihilate the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors in the merciless sacred war of Korean style as it dared hurt the dignity of the great men of Mt. Paektu whom the Koreans regard dearer than their lives and defend at any cost.

Once the Supreme Commander gives an order, they would reduce the Chongwadae of traitor Lee into ashes at one go and blow up the bases of the anti-DPRK smear campaign and moves for provocation of war, they pledged.

They said they would be on fullest alert to give momentum to the atmosphere of great leap and innovation in the ongoing grand advance for building an economic power and improving the people's living standard in the same spirit of tearing apart the Lee group.

The rallies were followed by demonstrations.

The demonstrators marched in high spirits, holding posters reading "Those who provoke us can not evade death!" and "Vengeful blow to the thrice-cursed traitor Lee Myung Bak!" in their hands.
