South Korean Authorities' Rhetoric to Evade Responsibility for Prevailing Situation Snubbed
|
|
Pyongyang, March 7 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, a spokesman for the puppet Ministry of Defense of south Korea made provocative remarks that "it would not react to every move of the north" and "it urges the north to stop mud-slinging." A spokesman for the puppet Ministry of Unification echoed his call for "an end to the mud-slinging". Meanwhile, some conservative media of south Korea are busy floating extremely disturbing stories that the north's intensified smear campaign against the south is a strategy for engaging the U.S. and blocking south Korea and it is aimed to spark off conflicts in south Korea with the general election at hand. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: No matter how many times the Lee Myung Bak group bends its knees before the nation and makes an apology to it for its thrice-cursed act of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, it will never feel relieved. But the group described the actions taken by the DPRK as "mud-slinging", far from making any apology. This reminds one of a thief crying "Stop the thief!" It is unimaginable for the DPRK to overlook the above-said most hideous provocations. If people of south Korea denounce the conservative authorities for the above-said case, that is its internal affair from A to Z. As far as the issue of "conflicts in south Korea" with the "general election" at hand is concerned, the puppet group is to blame for all disturbances there. Because it was none other than the Lee group that created "a security crisis" by orchestrating the provocations in the run-up to the general election in a bid to rally conservative forces and turn the "election" situation in its favor. The Lee group would be well advised to stop playing sleight of hand. It should bear in mind that its desperate efforts to evade the responsibility for the situation would only add to its crimes. |
