Iran Parliament Speaker Accuses U.S. Military of Koran Incineration

| Tehran, March 7 (KCNA) -- Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani on March 3 issued a statement censuring the U.S. military for the recent incineration of the Koran at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan. The statement cited historical facts to reveal barbarity and vulgarity betrayed by the U.S., a self-style proponent of freedom and human rights, by debasing the Islamist faith. The Koran is a priceless treasure of Islam, the statement said, adding that the Islamists will never pass over the blasphemy but give a severe punishment to the offenders. |
