The statement of a spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army was read out to be followed by speeches at the rallies.

The floor was taken by the chief secretaries of the Provincial and City Party Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea, officers of the Korean People's Army, members of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and youth and students.

The speakers said that they would wage an indiscriminate sacred war of our style till traitor Lee Myung Bak and the military warmongers are punished in the name of the nation.

They said that servicepersons and the people are pledging to turn out in the sacred war to annihilate the enemies, the Lee group of traitors, who defamed the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, through the merciless all-people war of retaliation.

The hysteric act kicked off by the Lee group of traitors who lack political view and vulgar in morality amounts to an undisguised head-on challenge and new declaration of a war against the DPRK, they said.

No matter how reckless the thrice-cursed traitors may go on the rampage, they cannot do any harm to the great dignified idea and social system in the DPRK, the speakers added.

They called upon the party members, working people and youth and students, who have grown up to be fighters for devotedly defending the leader in the Songun revolution, to join servicepersons in mercilessly wiping out war maniacs and build a thriving nation that will shine with the great august name of the sun.

Then there was a demonstration march after the rally in Jagang Province.
