In the statement he said that the acts of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK are being openly committed at units of the south Korean puppet army at a time when the tense situation is prevailing on the Korean Peninsula owing to the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises.

The joint military exercises going against peace and the acts of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK can never be pardoned, he noted, and went on:

Voices demanding a stop to the joint military exercises and condemning the acts of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK are loudly heard not only in the DPRK but south Korean society. This is directly linked with the movement for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea through the implementation of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

We support the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and bitterly denounce the Lee Myung Bak regime for its anachronistic moves for igniting a war and its foolish acts of impairing the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK, out of the stand of supporting all the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad aspiring after peace and reunification.
