S. Korean Media Launch All-out Strike

| Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- The KBS branch of the south Korean media trade union, the MBC trade union and the YTN trade union simultaneously launched strikes on March 6 opposing the south Korean authorities which seek to put the media under their control. A relevant meeting was held outside the KBS building. The participants said the south Korean authorities' moves to put the media under their control amount to a severe abuse against the people's right to know. They would wage unflinching actions to ensure the freedom of media and make the radio serve the people, they said. They underscored the need to surely judge the group of traitors including Kim In Gyu, director of the KBS, through their actions. |
