Speakers at the meeting recalled that female workers of south Korea are now suffering the fear of unemployment, being subject to the most serious discrimination in the world.

Women are living in contempt and humiliation, they deplored, adding the women receive lower wages for the same work done as men and are not granted even a right to bring up their children.

What is more serious is that female workers are increasingly assaulted at their work sites, they charged.

A resolution was read out at the meeting.

Women are compelled to turn out against the authorities' unjust policy of discrimination against the women, it said.

Then they held demonstration march.
