Speaking in a press conference on March 8, the foreign minister said the U.S. is arresting Cuba from participating in the summit of the Organization of American States slated for April. He termed it an expression of hostility toward Cuba and an insult to it.

Such an act is unacceptable and unjustifiable, he said, stressing Cuba is not begging for its participation in the summit.

The economic, trade and financial blockades imposed by the U.S. on Cuba for decades amount to massacre, he noted.
