DPRK Women Footballers Win Title of Int'l Soccer Matches

| Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- The DPRK women football team won the title of the 2012 U-19 International Women Soccer "Spring of Kuban" held in Sochi, Russia from Mar. 6 to 16. The event divided into groups A, B and C brought together 12 teams from the DPRK, China, Russia, Ukraine and other countries and regions. The DPRK team advanced into quarterfinals with nine points in total in league matches. It beat the Krasnodar team 4:0 in quarterfinals and its Romanian rival 1:0 in the semi-finals to play finals. The DPRK girls trounced their Chinese rivals 3:1 on Mar. 16. |
