The statement vehemently condemned the Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea for its hideous provocations against the DPRK, going against the unanimous aspiration and desire of the Korean people and world people for peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il are great men always deeply revered by progressive mankind as they founded and developed the immortal Juche idea, making great contributions to global independence, the statement said, adding:

The Lee Myung Bak group defamed and insulted the great men whom the Korean people and the Juche idea followers of the world are looking up to, while staging war maneuvers for aggression in league with foreign forces, far from sharing sorrow with compatriots over a great loss. The group's crimes are sparking off our towering resentment.

The present developments go to prove that the Lee group is, indeed, the enemy of the nation and the root cause of war as it has sought tension only after pushing the inter-Korean relations to the worst phase.

The Lee group will no longer be pardoned by the Korean people but face a stern judgment of history.

We will always stand by the just cause of the Korean people.
