U.S. Is Meeting Setbacks in Afghan War: Special Envoy

Moscow, March 20 (KCNA) -- The special envoy of the Russian president for Afghan issue, when interviewed by a broadcasting service recently, held that the U.S. is meeting setbacks in the Afghan war.

A war syndrome similar to that of the Vietnamese war is manifested among the U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, the special envoy said, adding the U.S. suffered a defeat in the Vietnamese war in the 20th century.

The U.S. has so far failed to find a right strategy to settle the present situation where it is finding itself in mayhem, he noted.
