A U.S. military official said that the high-altitude reconnaissance plane based in south Korea plays the role of eye and ear that always watch the inside of north Korea, adding the plane is closely monitoring the moves of the north army.

Rodong Sinmun Friday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This clearly proves that the U.S. warmongers consider a war against the DPRK as something in sight.

The U.S. imperialists attach importance to the Korean Peninsula as they are working hard to carry out their Asia-Pacific strategy for aggression. They seek to execute their strategy for world domination with the Peninsula as a base.

To this end, they are staging joint military drills under various codenames together with Japan and the south Korean puppet forces while massively reinforcing the aggression armed forces in and around south Korea.

It is military common sense that espionage activities precede a war. Intensified espionage activities against the DPRK prove that a war by the U.S. is becoming a reality, not just a rumor.

The U.S. is speaking of bettering relations with the DPRK in public. At the U.S.-DPRK dialogue, too, it said it does not pursue hostile policy toward the DPRK. But its deeds do not match its words.

Its continued espionage acts and war drills are dangerous ones that pose a military threat to the DPRK and push the situation to an extreme phase. Action causes reaction.

The U.S. would be well advised to know well about its rival and behave with discretion.
