Venezuelan President Refers to Issue of Increasing Defense Capability

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Frias in a speech at a Cabinet meeting on March 20 referred to the issue of increasing the defense capability.

He said that the government would include the bolstering of defense capability as a major project in the 2013-2019 Simon Bolivar national plan.

At present Venezuela has 25 percent of the world's oil resources, he noted, adding that they will contribute to increasing the defense capability of the country and strengthening its sovereignty.
