Homage Paid to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the equestrian statues of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il on Sunday on the 100th day since his demise. The Mansudae Art Studio in Pyongyang was visited by officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, public health and media, bereaved families of revolutionary martyrs, working people and school youth and children in the city. Placed there were wreaths in the name of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the KPISF, institutions at various levels, enterprises, factories, farms, schools and others and bouquets and flowers. The mourners paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Il. Wreaths in the name of the institutions, organizations and families and bouquets and flowers were placed before the portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il in various places of the city including Kim Il Sung Square and the plaza of Pyongyang Indoor Stadium. Overseas Korean mourners' delegations and compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, the representative and staff members of the Office of the World Health Organization here and foreigners laid wreaths and bouquets before the said statues at the studio and the portraits and paid tribute to them. Portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il in each provincial capital were visited by servicepersons of the KPA, working people of various circles and school youth and children. Wreaths and bouquets were laid before the portraits of smiling Kim Jong Il in Chongjin and Rason cities by staff members of the Chinese and Russian consulates general, Chinese and Russian guests, overseas compatriots and Chinese residents. |
