The south Korean military forces are shipping huge foreign forces into south Korea and staging madcap joint military exercises for aggression one after another, posing a grave threat to peace on the Korean Peninsula and the destiny of the Koreans, the statement said, and went on:

This situation is entirely attributable to the Lee regime's moves against the June 15 joint declaration and its hostile policy toward fellow countrymen in the north.

The Lee regime perpetrated such misdeed as scattering leaflets insulting the DPRK, far from expressing condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, last December and paying condolatory visit to it.

It also blocked the above-said visits to be made by many civic organizations and patriotic citizens. From the outset of the year the Lee group staged ceaseless war exercises for invading the north. An army unity stationed in Inchon committed such reckless act as hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the north.

It seeks to let Minister of Defense Kim Kwan Jin stage a large-scale exercise for a war against the DPRK after setting March 26 when the "Cheonan" warship was allegedly sunk as the "day of punishment."

Terming satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 to be launched by the north a "long-range ballistic missile", the group is busy hatching a plot to kick off an international smear campaign against the DPRK with "the nuclear security summit" as an occasion.

It committed hostile acts against compatriots in the north when they were mourning the passing of Kim Jong Il whom they consider as the destiny of the country and is still hurting the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership during the mourning period. These behaviors make even animals blush.

Noting that a war is looming as a reality, not an empty talk, due to the moves of the present authorities to escalate the confrontation, the statement demanded the Lee regime halt its racket of confrontation and war.
