In the message Kim Jong Un said he was deeply impressed to see all party members, servicepersons of the KPA and people fulfil their noble moral obligation in bitter grief over the loss of the father of the nation and strong yearning for him in the mourning period.

He noted he was deeply touched by the infinite loyalty manifested by all the service personnel and people to hold Kim Jong Il as the eternal leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolution, missing him more fervently as the days go by, and drew enormous strength and courage from them.

In the message he expressed warm thanks to all party members, service personnel and people and overseas compatriots for manifesting profound condolences over the passing of Kim Jong Il and turning out with redoubled courage in the efforts to implement his behests with strong yearning for him.

He also said he felt very grateful to party and state leaders, prominent personages and progressive people of many countries for sending him hearty sympathy, expressing profound condolences upon hearing the sad news of the leader's passing.

He will dedicate everything to socialist Korea and people entrusted to him by Kim Jong Il, he said.

He is firmly convinced that all the party members, servicepersons and people will make great efforts to bring earlier the day when they will make a report of proud victory to President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who lie in state at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, single-mindedly united around the WPK Central Committee, he added
