At the conference the speakers said the "Nuclear Security Summit" held in Seoul focused on defending the imperialists' nuclear monopoly and domination under the pretext of nuclear control.

The aim of the summit was to justify the pressure on countries, including the DPRK, which challenge the U.S., they noted, adding the south Korean authorities did not try to hide it, either.

They said they are strongly opposed to the summit as it was aimed to maintain and beef up the nuclear supremacy under the signboard of realizing a "world without nuclear weapons."

On the same day civic and social organizations including the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society held a rally at which they said it is hypocritical to talk about nuclear security while shunning the issue of dismantling nuclear weapons of big powers.
